About Us
What is Lobium?
Lobium is the Latin word for ‘vestibule’ or ‘portico’.
In Roman times the Lobium was the waiting area for visitors who were meeting with the Master of the house. There, servants and other visitors would also be present. From them, the visitor could take the opportunity to ask and find out more about the mood, opinions and background of the master. This would inform the visitor to adjust their narrative, in order to improve the result or negotiation of their meeting.
What is Lobium’s vision?
- We want data to work harder for public affairs.
- Public affairs is important because we believe that more and better input leads to better policy. Then, better policy leads to more trust in democracy.
- We want to bring public affairs into the 21st century with the smart use of data and technological developments such as AI and Machine Learning.
- Lobium wants to be at the forefront and take a leadership role by developing and exploring these possibilities.
Who uses your tools?
They’re used by in-house lobbyists, Trade Associations, and Consultancies. We give generous discounts to nonprofits and investigative journalists.

European Parliament Amendment Analyser (EPAA)
What’s included?
- Commission proposal: You can start long before the first amendments drop; analyse the COM proposal the day it is published, and draft your own amendments.
- Committee stage: Search, filter, cluster, group, and analyse the amendments from the Lead Committee, Opinion Committees and their voting. We are working on compromise amendments to be included as well.
- Plenary stage: Search, filter, cluster, group, and analyse all the plenary amendments and their voting.
- Trilogue stage: view the Commission, Parliament and Council positions and create your own positions.
How long do I have access to the data?
Forever.

How fast are amendments uploaded to your system?
Within 24 hours.
Can my colleagues have access?
Yes, all colleagues in your organisation are welcome and able to analyse the dossier(s) you purchased.
Stakeholder-issue matrix
How accurate is it?
It is incredibly accurate when it comes to the completeness of the data and finding the your topics. For the stance analysis on your key topics, our model is currently 70%-80% accurate. We are constantly improving our models to increase accuracy.
How much does it cost?
It depends. For analysis of EU Have Your Say consultations, we can offer a standard price of €2,500. For consultations from other corporate bodies, the data might be more complicated and we will discuss with you.
Can I make additional requests?
Yes, of course. We will deliver quite a number of stakeholder and coalition visualisations. If you have additional wishes, then let us know. Often we can include them in the price, depending on the complexity.
How will I receive the results?
We will deliver the data to you in MS Excel, and the visualisations in MS PowerBI.Let us know if you want the data or the visualisations in a different format.
When will I get the results?
It depends on how complicated the data is and how easy the EU body has made it available. Normally we aim to provide you with the results within 2 weeks.

Can I choose my own keywords?
Yes, you can choose as many keywords as you want.
Can I choose any EU corporate bodies?
Yes. We have most of them in our system. But if not, we can arrange them to be included
Can all my colleagues subscribe?
Yes of course!
What does it cost?
We’re trying this out so you can now get this for the wonderful price of €100.- for an entire year subscription!
Can I create multiple Radars, for example per field of interest?
Yes, of course. This makes it easier for your functional teams to keep things separate. We’ll give you a discount if you order more than one.
Policy Reports Insight Engine (PRIE)
When should I use this tool?
This tool is useful at the earlier stages of the legislative process. You can analyse Commission Reports, Impact Assessments, scientific reports, etc. It can give you an indication of the direction of travel: where is this policy going?
Are there any hidden costs?
We charge a fixed monthly fee. On top of that, we charge a fee based on your usage. In practice this means you pay a small fee for the analysis of each document that the system analyses for you. This ranges from €0,10 to €5,- per document, depending on its length and complexity. The system presents you with the cost calculation before it performs the analysis, so you always have transparency and can go back if you want to.
Can I analyse documents on any issue I want?
Yes, you can define your list of key issues and the system will find them and tell you if the author is in favour or against those issues.
